This collection encapsulated 15 colourful imaginative dresses transporting us to an Alice-In-Wonderland-like dream, with some reference to Bulgarian gypsy. While bright pinks, crinoline dresses and frills would make little girls smile, the designer added some spice to his collection by using prominent gold embroidery which blatantly referred to the current economical downtown.  The contrast of “airy” beauty and economic concern was interesting (if a bit obvious – i.e. the distracting sparkling gold “Credit Crunch” emblems were accompanied by quirky songs like ‘Money (That’s What I Want)’.)  Overall though, it was an ironic, fresh and entertaining show.

His press release announced “an enthusiastic presentation of excess”. Indeed! -AH
