This weekend we will have the finals of the annual Eurovision Song Contest – the biggest, most watched, most crap, most political and most tacky music event in all the world. Billions of people will watch singers from various European and no-quite-European countries perfom their songs. Yet little attention will be paid to the actual musc (given the quality of them). People will instead fcous on the outrageous acts, the political manoeuvring of the juries and voters and the embarradssing performance of the presenters. Being hold in Moscow, the 54th Eurovision is believd to the largest and most expensive production in the event’s history.
What’s exciting about this year’s event, fashion-wise, is that Russian supermodel Natalie Vodianova is co-hosting the semi-final. Shame that she won’t be presenting in the final but so far she has won some gorgeous outfits, which has added some much-needed glamour to the event. My favourite looks are by Givenchy (Ready-to-wear Fall 2009 and Couture Spring 2009). I wish I could find better pictures. She looked absolutely stunning in these dresses.
Update: I managed to find some pictures with better quality. Check out the new outifts! Wonder who made the gold dress.
